St John’s School fundraiser for Bone Cancer Research Trust

St John’s School Dress Down Day · 11 October 2024
Join us by going ‘Orange’ on Friday 11th October 2024.
St John’s School will be hosting a dress down day and after school cake sale to raise vital funds and spread awareness of Ewing sarcoma in memory of Beth.
Beth was a much loved pupil at St John's School, whose laugh and smile was infectious.
Beth’s last year at School was abruptly cut short when she was diagnosed in December 2020 with a rare form of cancer called Ewing sarcoma.
After undergoing nine of months of Chemotherapy, surgery and Radiotherapy, Beth was given the all clear and returned home in time to celebrate her 12th birthday with family and friends.
Beth made the most of the following months, dressing up as an inflatable dinosaur for Halloween, having the trip of a lifetime in Lapland just before Christmas, and camping with friends at Beauvelande.
Beth's parents were dealt the devastating news just nine months after being given the all clear, that the disease had returned and it was terminal. Beth spent the following months being cared for where she felt happiest and most comfortable, her home.
Beth passed away peacefully at home, just before her 13th Birthday.
Please help us celebrate her life by wearing Orange on this day.
