Walking the Cambrian Way….
Between Thursday the 15th of May and Sunday the 18th of May, 21 students in year 10 have come forward to walk three Ionic mountains Yr Wyddffa (1085), Cader Idris (893 M) and Pen-y-Fan (886). The mountain ranges fall along the one of the most iconic long-distance trails in Wales, The Cambrian Way. This trail stretches from the southern coast in Cardiff to the northern coastal town of Conwy.
Although student will be hiking amongst the most stunning backdrops in the country; the challenge itself should not be underestimated. This will be a physically challenging experience not just because of the total walking distance (about 50km) or the total height of the all the mountains walked (about 3000m) but because the weather and terrain play an important part of the challenge.
Walking the South Downs Way (Part 3 Brighton to Eastbourne)
On Friday 20th of June 2025 we are giving 60 students the opportunity to participate in part 3 of our South Downs Walk. Moving between Brighton and Eastbourne along the South Downs trail. What makes this challenge difficult is not just the distance (47km) but that the student are doing it through the night. The South Downs way is a spectacular and stunning route that moves through the heart of Sussex.
