I'm taking part in The 137 Challenge with ActionAid and completing 137 minutes of exercise a day for one month 💪. I'm disabled with two different types of movement disorders and PTSD induced seizures, so this will be a huge challenge for me!

I was almost part of this statistic... I have been beaten, I've been thrown against walls, I've been called every name you can think of, I have been gaslight, I've had more bones broken than I can count, I had one of my dogs killed, I've hidden in closets for safety, I've been terrified to talk, I've had a cable wrapped around my throat and pulled tight, I've been beaten bloody and so so much more than I can even write. For context, the cover picture was me after getting thrown into a wall. But now I'm safe, I'm loved and I came out on the other side. Unfortunately 137 women a day don't get that chance... If I can do anything to help women and children in the same situation by giving my time, effort or anything spare I will. We need to help end the violence.

Why? One in three women will experience some form of violence in their lifetime, and globally 137 women are killed per day by a partner, family member or friend? But around the world, ActionAid are working with woman and girls are fighting to claim their rights and change the systems and beliefs that make violence acceptable.
