Suffolk Writers Group 'Wild Fundraiser' for EACH

Jane Spencer-Rolfe is raising money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices

Writing 'Wild' Quick-fire Poems to request · 19 July 2025

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Suffolk Writers Group 'Wild Fundraiser'

Jane Spencer-Rolfe and Mai Black, are having a Wild Words Suffolk and Suffolk Writers Group 'Wild' Fundraiser' for EACH (East Anglia's Children's Hospices)

Our plan to offer spontaneous 'WILD quick-fired Poems' in person, while taking the Wild Words Suffolk project to the Star Inn Wenhaston, who are holding an EACH Fundraising event on Saturday 19th July 2025.

From 12 noon - 3 pm, we will be writing short poems to request. People, give us a word - their choice - the theme for their poem. Their unique poem will be spontaneously written and handed to them there and then, in exchange for their donation which will ALL be given to EACH.

Suffolk Writers Group (2,400 members) will also be given an opportunity via the online group, on Facebook, to join in.

Members are welcome to join the fun by coming to Wenhaston, and maybe help us write poems as part of our 'Wild quick-fire poetry writing team'. Or by making a donation taking part in one of the 'challenge opportunities' via in the group online between now and Sunday 19th July, using this page to donate.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Jane and Mai
