Students are supporting one of their fellow students who have personally been touched by Dementia in their own Family. Dementia effects a lot of people, however, with the help of support, and crafts and singing there is light for sufferers and their families. Our teacher shared their story from when their Dad had dementia he still recalled all of the songs and would hold little concerts for others in his care home to enjoy. She recalled him singing the Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire) Before this terrible diagnosis. Lets bring a little light to their lives this time of year and support the arts for sufferers and let them have a social and enjoyable life with their loved ones and still create memories.
