I have always been confident in the water. Happy to jump into the sea and bob about in a fashion. This year I have decided to place myself out of my depth and swim a mile. I have been to swimming classes and learnt to do front crawl, improved my breast stroke and back stroke. On the 24th March I am going to set a personal best for the Mad Medley Mile, doing 2 lengths of each stroke in rotation until I get to:

60 lengths - A swimming mile

65 lengths - A land mile

and if there is enough in the tank.....

74 lengths - A nautical mile

I first met the VISA GB Bunch in 2022 and was blown away by the charity and the experiences they provide for people with visual impairment. A mix of sighted, visaully impaired and blind set out on the seas to learn to sail.
