Homelessness in the UK is on the rise. The number of people sleeping rough has gone up by 27% in the last year, and 94% of those have experienced trauma. It’s a tough reality, and one that Jimmy’s Cambridge is working hard to change.

In March 2026, Bethan and Ollie from the SWW team will be taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Jimmy’s Cambridge, a local charity providing round-the-clock support for people experiencing homelessness.

Jimmy’s do incredible work across the city - offering safe places to stay, one-to-one guidance, and long-term support to help people rebuild their lives. We’ve had the privilege of volunteering with them over the past year and have seen first-hand just how much of a difference they make.

Running 13.1 miles might be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what many face every day without a home. Every penny raised will go directly to helping Jimmy’s continue their vital work and move us closer to a Cambridge where no one has to face homelessness alone.
