I have been offered an amazing opportunity to volunteer in La Unión, Honduras for 12 months with a fantastic charity, Project Trust!

Project Trust is a Scottish charity that offers international youth volunteering opportunities for young people aged 17-25. They select placements designed to ensure that Volunteers' skills can be put to good use, making a real contribution in their host communities, without taking work away from local people.

I am so excited to volunteer as teacher in Abundant Life Christian School in La Unión, teaching subjects such as English, Maths, Science, History and Art to Primary school children!

In Honduras, it is a government requirement for all schools to teach English, but due to the lack of English teachers, this isn't possible within many rural places. I'm really excited to be taking over the work of past and present volunteers and to make a difference in the community! I am also looking forward to fully immersing myself in Honduran life and culture and exploring what Central America has to offer!!

In order to volunteer in Honduras, I will need to fundraise £7450 before my departure in August 2026. Anything you can donate will be deeply appreciated, no matter how small!
