Story
Every day, seven young people ages 13-24 hear the words you have cancer, They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need so no young person faces cancer alone.
The amazing Sussex students are sending a team to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money and support young people facing cancer.
I am apart of a group of University of Sussex Student's aiming to raise 4,970 pounds each to support Teenage Cancer Trust by climbing Mt Kiliminjaro!
With the money raised Teenage Cancer Trust can provide exceptional care and support, tailored specifically for young individuals with cancer. They will finance specialized nurses, youth workers, and dedicated hospital units within the NHS, ensuring that young patients have access to committed staff and resources throughout their treatment journey.
They also organize events that empower young cancer patients to reclaim their independence and connect with peers facing similar challenges.
