Story
This September, we’re embarking on an exciting and challenging journey as a team. A virtual walk to Lisbon and back! Over the course of the month, we’ll track our steps and collectively aim to cover the distance it would take to walk from our starting point all the way to Lisbon, and then back again. It’s a fun and healthy way to get active and bond as a team, all while supporting a great cause. We was originally going to walk to Madrid and back but completed this challenge within just 16 days of the challenge, so we’ve decided to up the stakes and aim for Lisbon instead. The distance from London to Lisbon is about 1,970,000 Steps, which means as a team we’ll need to complete 3,940,000 to make the round trip.
We’re using a leaderboard to track our progress, so everyone will be able to see how close we are to reaching our goal. The challenge is simple: the more steps we take, the closer we get to Lisbon. We’ll need to work together to complete!
But here’s where it gets even more important; we’re doing this to raise awareness and funds for MS Action UK. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic illness that affects thousands of people across the UK, impacting their daily lives in ways many of us can’t imagine. MS Action UK provides crucial support, advocacy, and resources to those living with MS, helping them lead fuller, more independent lives. MS Action is also dedicated to help individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Brain Injury, and other neurological disorders. They offer a combination of complementary and mainstream therapies designed to enhance the well-being of our members and provide support to their carers.
Donating to MS Action helps provide vital therapies and support to individuals and families affected by neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Brain Injury. Your generosity ensures that both adults and children can access specialised treatments that improve their quality of life, promoting greater independence, physical mobility, and emotional well-being. In addition, donations also provide respite and resources for carers, who often face significant challenges in their caregiving roles. By supporting MS Action, you’re helping create a more inclusive, supportive community for those navigating the complexities of these conditions. Your contribution makes a meaningful difference in their journey toward healing and empowerment.
By donating to this cause, you’re making a real difference. Every step we take in this challenge brings us closer to our goal, and every penny you donate will help MS Action UK continue its incredible work.
Help us to achieve our goal!
