Story
This autumn, I’m taking on a personal challenge — swimming the equivalent of the English Channel to raise money for Head4Change, a charity very close to my heart.
I’m doing this in memory of my lovely Paul, who tragically died by suicide last year. The challenge is my way of honouring his life, finding strength through movement, and transforming grief into something positive.
I plan to start the challenge in October on Paul’s birthday and finish on my daughters birthday in December. Lisa has also fought her own battle with Breast Cancer last year and therefore this end date has a special significance.
Swimming has become a source of distraction and focus for me — and it feels especially fitting, as Paul was passionate about health and fitness, so I know he’d approve!
Every stroke I swim will be a tribute to Paul, and every donation helps Head4Change continue their vital work supporting mental health and wellbeing.
If you’d like to contribute, please follow the link to our family fundraising page The Paul Brett Memorial Fund which will forever raise money for this charity.
Alternatively, if you’re more old-school, I’m more than happy to take cash donations or sponsorships in person!
Thank you for supporting me on this heartfelt journey.
