Story
We kindly ask that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the Terrence Higgins Trust — a charity close to Sylvia’s heart.
Founded as one of the UK’s first AIDS charities, the Terrence Higgins Trust offered essential services such as home-help, buddying, counselling, and education around drugs and sexual health.
They were especially important to her, as they supported the family when Sylvia's brother, Philip (Pickle), died in 1985.
Today, the Trust continues this vital work. With your support, it aims to:
- Ensure there are no new HIV cases in the UK by 2030
- Provide ongoing support to people living with HIV
- Guarantee access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health services for all
- Create a world where HIV and sexual health are free from shame and stigma
Donations made in Sylvia’s memory will help support this ongoing mission.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
