My Fundraising Story
This year I have set myself a new challenge – running a half marathon in support of CDARS (Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services), a small local charity that provides vital help to people struggling with substance use and mental health problems.
So many people around us are affected by these challenges, often silently. Having a safe place where they can find support, hope, and a way forward is truly invaluable. CDARS does incredible work in our community, but like many local charities, they rely on donations to continue changing lives.
On a personal note, this year has been a difficult one for me. But I’ve learned that even in hard times, there are no impossible things – with determination and the right support, progress is always possible. That’s why this cause feels especially close to my heart.
By running this half marathon, I hope not only to push my own limits, but also to raise awareness and funds for CDARS. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in ensuring that people in need can continue to access help and find hope.
Thank you so much for your support – it truly means the world to me, and to those who will benefit from your kindness.
