Hearts in Action: Syria September Deployment 2026
Assalamu Alaikum,
We’re Omar and Nakaash, two friends who, at the beginning of this year, were blessed with an opportunity that changed our lives forever.
In January, we travelled with Al Qulub Trust on our very first humanitarian deployment to Aleppo and Idlib, Syria.
We thought we knew what to expect.
We had watched the news. We’d seen the images. We’d heard the stories. But nothing could have prepared us for what we witnessed with our own eyes.
Meeting families who had lost everything. Children whose smiles shone despite growing up surrounded by hardship. Parents who had endured years of war, displacement and uncertainty, yet still welcomed us with gratitude and dignity.
It was an emotional journey that humbled us in ways we never imagined.
There were moments of joy as we handed food parcels directly to families, moments of hope as children laughed and played, and moments where words simply couldn’t describe what we were seeing.
We returned home with hearts that had been completely transformed.
While life carried on for us, we couldn’t stop thinking about the people we had met.
We realised that humanitarian work isn’t just about delivering aid—it’s about reminding people that they haven’t been forgotten.
By Allah’s mercy, we have now been given another opportunity to return to Syria from 14th–23rd September.
This time, we return with a deeper understanding of the needs on the ground and an even stronger desire to serve. We’re more focused than ever on reaching families in some of the most isolated areas of Idlib, personally delivering your donations into the hands of those who need them most.
We know that we cannot change the world on our own. But together, we can change someone’s world.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help provide essential aid including food, clothing, bedding and other necessities to families who continue to face unimaginable hardship.
100% Zakat Applicable
100% DONATION POLICY
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”
This journey is not about us.
It’s about the mothers wondering how they’ll feed their children.
It’s about the fathers trying to rebuild after losing everything.
It’s about the orphan who simply wants to feel seen.
We would be incredibly grateful if you could support us in reaching our fundraising goal. Every donation, every share and every sincere du’a brings us one step closer to helping another family.
May Allah accept every penny you give, place barakah in your wealth, and make it a means of shade for you on the Day of Judgement.
Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
Omar & Nakash
