Story
Raising money for Zest, a local Leeds charity which support disadvantaged communities in Leeds. Yorkshire Three Peaks will entail a 24 mile walk from Horton in Ribblesdale, taking on the peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, aiming to complete under 12 hours.
Today, someone living in a more affluent area of Leeds will live at least 10 years longer than someone living in a deprived area of the city. In many cases, these communities live just metres away - we're sure you'll agree that where someone is born shouldn't affect their life chances in such a significant way.
Your donation £10 will provide enough ingredients for two sessions of Men's Pie Club, for local men facing social isolation £25 will provide an hour's worth of healthy holiday activities for families facing disadvantage during the summer holidays £50 will provide the resources needed for one the resources needed for one exercise group for people at risk of ill health.
Our fundraising aim is £50 per walker, with an overall target of £1250, this will make a huge difference to local disadvantaged communities in Leeds.
