I am walking from my home village of Sileby Leicestershire, to Wells next the sea Norfolk to raise funds for LOROS Hospice.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

We were aware of LOROS in 2009 when my Dad was there for support with cancer diagnosis and again in 2012 when we sadly lost him.

Then in 2022 when MND affected our family when my husband was diagnosed. It was a quick journey from symptoms, diagnosis to us sadly losing him.

From day 1 we had the support, kindness and care from everyone involved in this truly special place. This included medical, personal and practical support. Along with such care, I cannot express!

I want LOROS to be there for anyone who may find they need it, and will do whatever I can
