Cyclone Ditwa Emergency Relief Appeal

Following the devastating floods, landslides and severe adverse weather in Sri Lanka - the country is reeling from significant human and material losses.

According to the Disaster Management Centre current figures, 12,313 families have been affected, 56 people have died and 21 are missing. More than 1,800 families have been displaced or relocated to temporary shelters. Tragically these numbers will inevitably increase.

Trek4Ceylon would like to help in this hour of need. We are setting up this JustGiving page to raise funds for our beloved nation and disaster stricken communities, in partnership with Alliance Development Trust and other reputable agencies. We are also liaising with overseas agencies for additional funding.

Furthermore, we’ve been advised that the need will be greater in the coming weeks when the clean up operation commences and people return to their homes.
