In doing so, we hope to not only bring physical, emotional and mental healing, but also unity and peace. Trek4Ceylon is run by a group of volunteers who are keen to support the less fortunate. Nobody involved in Trek4Ceylon is paid and we strive to operate with integrity and transparency. Trek4Ceylon also has charity status in Auatralia, Canada and Sri Lanka.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Since 2017, I’ve been involved with the annual charity bicycle ride.

The charity was set up to provide support to the medical infrastructure in Sri Lanka and other underprivileged communities across the world. In doing so, we hope to not only bring physical, emotional and mental healing, but also unity and peace.

As many of you know, I lost my daughter Gabriella in 2017. Hence, I’ve been passionate about leaving a legacy in her name and assisting other parents enduring the pain of a sick child. I’ve been cycling to raise funds for the Green Memorial Hospital, Manipay, Jaffna specially for the paediatric department.

or the second year, we will be fundraising, by riding a gruelling 500km from the capital Colombo located on the west coast of the island via Galle (a captivating city on the southern coast), Hambantota (famous for it's wildlife sanctuaries), Dambulla (situated in the Central Province and known as the Golden Triangle) to finish at St Luke’s Methodist Mission Hospital, Puttur in the northern Jaffna province.

T4C2026 - Why We Ride?

● St. Luke’s Methodist Hospital Puttur was identified by Trek4Ceylon in 2025 as a hospital to renovate and offer medical services.

● From 2025, we've made an initial commitment to support St Luke's for five years.

● Each year Trek4Ceylon will set-out the project to be implemented using the rider funds / donations

● Trek4Ceylon 2026 funds will be used for the renovation of the main building to offer daily Out Patient Department (OPD) and Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU) services to adults and children
