Story
In September, I’ve chosen to run the Cheltenham 10k for Cheltenham Festivals! I have never taken part in a sponsored run before, and what a brilliant charity to raise money for to start my running journey. As a creative myself, I feel very strongly that everybody should have access the arts and culture. No matter who they are or what their background may be, Cheltenham Festivals is a cultural charity that makes this possible.
Cheltenham Festivals does far more than just put on (some incredible!) shows and talks that I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to go and see. Their mission is to bring people together through world-class festivals and year-round learning programmes in literature, music, science, and jazz, helping to spark curiosity, creativity, and ambition in people of all ages. Their work doesn’t stop when the tents and stages come down. Throughout the year, Cheltenham Festivals delivers education and outreach programmes in schools and communities, focusing particularly on young people who might not otherwise have access to cultural experiences for various reasons. From inspiring future scientists to nurturing young writers and musicians, they’re all about opening doors that might otherwise stay closed. So many amazing experiences and events they put on are also completely free, all thanks to the generous support of others.
Any donations to help Cheltenham Festivals achieve their mission would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much and wish me luck!!
