Tackle HIV Snowdonia Ten Peak Challenge 2025

Snowdonia Ten Peak Challenge
Tackle HIV is taking on the Snowdonia Ten Peak Challenge on the 26th June. We're climbing the ten peaks to raise funds for our charity partner Terrence Higgins Trust, who work tirelessly to end HIV transmission in the UK; to empower and support people living with HIV to lead healthy lives; and to amplify the voices of those affected by HIV to eradicate stigma and discrimination.
In line with the UNAIDS goal, Terrence Higgins Trust is determined to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030. That's why a team of inspirational HIV advocates and fantastic campaign supporters will be participating in the challenge to raise our target of £2,030.
Tackle HIV was launched by Gareth Thomas in 2020 in partnership with ViiV Healthcare and with Terrence Higgins Trust as the charity partner to correct misunderstandings, change attitudes, and break down the stigma that still surrounds HIV.
Stigma can have a devastating effect on people living with HIV, impacting their mental wellbeing, quality of life, and even their physical health. Stigma may prevent people from disclosing their status or accessing treatment. The fear of stigma and discrimination can also deter individuals from getting tested, undermining efforts to control HIV. While science has enabled incredible advances in treating HIV, without addressing HIV-related stigma and discrimination, we will not achieve the goal of ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
Please help us #TackleHIV by supporting the team participating in the Snowdonia Ten Peaks Challenge. Let’s #TackleHIV together!
