Story
On September 10th 2025, I along with my friends will complete the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge to raise awareness for Men’s Mental Health, and specifically in aid of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire Mind.
This challenge takes in the three peaks of Wales: Snowdon in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen y Fan in the South. It includes a total walking distance of 17 miles (27.4km) and an ascent of 2334 metres (7657ft).
We will complete this challenge wearing Budgy Smugglers (and walking boots of course) for an added challenge.
The reason we are completing this challenge on September 10th is because it’s World Suicide Prevention day.
There is a crisis in men’s mental health. Three out of four people who take their own lives are men. Males have higher rates of alcohol and substance abuse than women and two in five men say they feel worried or low on a regular basis.
This challenge is particularly close to my heart after losing my cousin Timothy Reynolds to suicide in 2021.
Please donate if you can and always check up on your mates.
Thank you!
