Running to help captive animals around the world!

Tali Caldecott is raising money for Wild Welfare

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We have a team of four valiant runners taking part in iconic London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026 to raise vital funds to improve captive animal welfare around the world where it's most needed.

Story

Hi, I’m Tali, a companion animal vet and (as of recently!) a soon-to-be marathon runner.

In April, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon (my very first full marathon) to raise money for an incredibly important cause: improving the lives of animals in captivity around the world. I’m running as part of Team Wild Welfare, and I’d love your support!

Why Wild Welfare?

Right now, thousands of captive wild animals kept in zoos, aquariums, and other facilities, are living in inadequate conditions without proper care, enrichment, or protection.

Wild Welfare is an incredible organisation dedicated to changing that. They work globally to improve animal welfare standards, train animal care teams, and ensure captive animals receive the conditions they need to thrive.

Their work helps animals of all shapes and sizes- from elephants and tigers to emus and tortoises. Every species matters.

Thank you so much for reading and for helping me make a difference for animals who can’t speak up for themselves.
