Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am fundraising for Priestly Smith School as it’s close to my heart for personal and professional reasons.

Priestley Smith is are a specialist school for students whose primary need is a visual impairment and we educate and care for students aged 2-19. They have a strong multi-disciplinary team including habilitation, specialist repro graphics including Braille and tactile resources, assistive technology, and support from the community paediatrician team, occupational therapy, special school nursing team, speech and language, and other specialisms. All staff are highly trained including qualified teachers of the visually impaired, Braille teachers, habilitation and other specialisms. Our facilities have been specifically built to accommodate students with visual impairments.

Fundraising for Priestley Smith would enable additional resources to be provided to support those with a visual impairment in retaining independence and extending quality of life.
