Walk for Mental Health · 10 October 2026

Talk2Nish Peer Mentors trains school students to be mental health peer mentors so they can help their fellow students to feel heard. The aim is to educate the whole school about mental health as well as to help individuals who are struggling and may feel anxious about speaking to authority figures.

Story

This World Mental Health Day, 10 October, we’re coming together to walk with a friend, and raise £500 for Talk2Nish Peer Mentors.

Mental health is at the heart of the work we do, and the funds raised will help Talk2Nish continue supporting people and encouraging open conversations about mental wellbeing.

There are two simple ways to take part:

1. Pledge an amount you can afford and complete a walk yourself.

2. Take on the challenge and invite friends and family to sponsor you.

You can walk the full 10K or choose a personal target that works for you. Every step and every contribution counts.

Please share photos from your walk on social media and tag Talk2Nish so we can celebrate everyone taking part.

Use the hashtags:

#Walk10KForMentalHealth #Talk2Nish #WorldMentalHealthDay

Join us by walking, pledging or donating, whatever feels right for you, and help us reach our £500 target.

Note: for those wishing to ask for sponsorship, you can either set up your own just giving page for the challenge, and select Talk2Nish, or you can ask them to pledge in support of your walk on this page.
