Support My Sponsored Walk for Paignton Zoo!

Hi! I'm raising money for Paignton Zoo as part of my journey to achieve the Torbay Civic Award. Paignton Zoo holds a special place in my heart. One of my favourite memories is watching Bruce the Echidna being fed and walking through the crocodile house to see the massive Saltwater Crocodile. I love going to the zoo with my little sister and younger brother, seeing their faces light up when they see animals like lions and giraffes. We also love looking for our favourite animals like the Binturong and the Armadillo!

As part of my fundraising, I will be doing a 5.5-mile walk from my school to the front entrance of Paignton Zoo. Zoos are important for children, like my sister and brother, to learn about and appreciate wildlife. They also help protect endangered species and give them a safe place to live. I’m so lucky to have a zoo close to me, and I want to help raise money to support all the amazing work they do.

Paignton Zoo is part of Wild Planet Trust, a conservation charity established in 1957 and based in Devon, UK. We operate two zoos in south west England, in addition to two local nature reserves and a National Nature Reserve. We also work in partnership with other organisations and communities at home and abroad to protect wild animals and their habitats.

Our zoos and reserves provide safe havens for threatened species, and unique opportunities for people to connect with nature. Your donation will support our conservation work and help us to provide the very best care to the animals and plants that call Paignton Zoo home.
