Tam’s D-Day 100-miler Ultra for SSAFA Scotland

Thomas Meighan is raising money for SSAFA

GB Ultras Scotland 100 miler · 6 June 2026

Since 1885, thanks to the public's support, we continue to provide welfare and wellbeing assistance tailored to our Armed Forces community. We know and understand the unique demands of service life, whether in the UK or overseas, and in times of need, we help to enable the Forces family to thrive.

Story

On 6 June 2026 - D-Day, fittingly enough - I’ll be taking on the GB Ultras Scotland 100-mile race, one of the toughest endurance events in the UK. In the lead-up, I’ll also be completing a series of other races and challenges as part of my training. All in support of SSAFA Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’m a serving soldier with over 22 years of experience in the Army, and I’ve seen first-hand the incredible difference SSAFA - the Armed Forces charity makes to the lives of serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Some of my own close family members have been supported by SSAFA, and that’s given me a deep sense of duty to give something back to those who’ve given so much.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help me support SSAFA and the vital work they do for our military community. Your support will keep me motivated through every mile - and together, we can make a real difference.
