Cotswolds Mighty Hike 2025 - Full Marathon · 19 July 2025 ·

Set yourself an exciting new challenge and hike a full or half marathon through the stunning Cotswolds to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

On Saturday 19 July 2025, we’re walking 26 miles with the Cotswolds Mighty Hike as part of Team One Step Closer. We’re doing it to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

This challenge is personal for both of us. Like so many others, we’ve seen cancer touch the lives of people we love... our dearest friends, their family, a sister-in-law, father, nephew, uncles and aunties, school mums, and more. So we’re walking in their honour, and for every family facing this devastating disease.

💚 For Tamara, this will be her third Mighty Hike – a challenge she keeps coming back to because she’s seen how much Macmillan’s work matters.

💚 For Jen, it’s her first Mighty Hike, and she’s excited (and a little nervous!) to step up to the challenge and join the incredible energy of Team One Step Closer.

We’ve been swapping the after-work commutes for 8–11 mile treks from Windsor to Sunninghill and now we’re ready to take on this beautiful marathon-long walk though the Cotswolds ending at Blenheim Palace.

We’d be so grateful if you could help us reach our fundraising target, which could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could give people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical, and emotional support when they need it most.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It’s Macmillan’s goal to be there for every single one of them from the moment of diagnosis but they can’t do it without donations from people like you.

👉 Please donate what you can and help us make every step count. Your support will keep us going when the miles get tough!

Thank you so much 💚
