This year marks the tenth anniversary of the death of my beautiful cousin Leah, who was surrounded by dignity and love in NI Children’s Hospice after battling paediatric myelodysplasia with monosomy 7.
The Children’s Hospice aims to care for children and young people with complex needs, providing holistic care and providing support to improve their quality of life; whether this is through respite, symptom management or end of life care.
Running a marathon seems like a scary feat, but it is something I’ve always wanted to be able to do. I feel it is only appropriate to run for a charity who provided my family, particularly Leah’s parents and siblings, with such love, kindness and support through such a hard time of our lives.
