I am raising money & awareness, for the charity in memory of my grandfather and close friends grandparent's, one of my best friend's dad, and young people I have come to know also diagnosed with this condition, some rare and fatal, all heartbreakingly difficult for all concerned.

The term "dementia" doesn't actually refer to one, specific disease. Rather, it's an overall term for a set of symptoms that are caused by disorders affecting the brain.

I witness that rush for people to get sorted in a few weeks things they thought they could put of for at least another decade. Organising their affairs for those that rely on them including independent adult children.

Conversations with loved ones and significant other, taking the opportunity to make memories, for those they will leave behind long before death.

And the grieve that takes hold of them & their loved ones so tight, they cant breath for a moment through the tears.....and then they somehow stop those tears, and they carry on living the life they have with each other whilst they can, making memories, organising, treasuring time and having difficult conversations and managing their emotions and having a laugh.
