London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

As many of you know, I lost my Dad (Bob) in 2012. My dad suffered with Alzheimer’s for 4 years.

It was the most hardest and emotional journey I have ever been on. My dad did not know my family or myself in the end. We couldn’t even say good bye.

I am aware of a lot of friends who have been, and are going through this awful disease and my heart goes out to them.

As most of you know, after trying for nearly 8 years I finally received the confirmation that I have been successful in being given a place in the London Marathon 2024.

As London was my mum and dads home town and my dads ashes were scattered out to sea on HMS Belfast in 2012, this is so important to me to actually run in the London Marathon. Of course, my chosen charity is Alzheimer’s Research UK. I will be running this in memory of my wonderful dad (Bob).

I would be so grateful if you could support me by donating to this cause. I know times are hard but even the smallest amount helps.

This will be such an emotional time but also a fantastic experienced knowing I am able to raise money for such a superb cause.

Thanks to all

Tammy
