I can't ever imagine not being supported and encouraged to go running, participate in outdoor sports, or get an education. But unfortunately this is the reality for women everywhere. Running whether I am on my own, with my friends or being cheered on the sidelines by my family, is an integral part of my wellbeing. That's why I am dedicating my trail running events over the next 12 months to increase awareness while promoting and raising funds for Free to Run programs. Their mission - to advance gender equity globally, driving change in community gender norms in conflict areas by supporting young women and girls in leadership and wellness through running.
