Tang Fook Wah passed away on 3rd May 2024. This is the charity he set up. If you would like to make a contribution to further his legacy, this page is set up in dad's name.

In June 2023, dad and I turned my Theatre Group CLICK Productions into grant giving charity "CLICK Arts Foundation". While I no longer have the time to produce shows, as I had for over 30 years, we wanted to help others continue to offer the opportunities and platforms for their communities.

Dad's own parents were with the Chinese State Opera, and although he never pursued it himself (save one short film in the early 2000s(!!) where he played a "Mr Miyagi" type role!!), he won prizes for his acting, and had perfect pitch - but he understood the power that the arts have to build confidence, raise awareness, and even turn someone's life around. Mum was a SEN Music Teacher, and Dad a Craft Design and Technology teacher and both were often (as I was as a Drama Teacher) given the students who "just can't cope in a classroom". Dad got his students wanting to come back after school to work on their carpentry, Mum ensured inclusivity within the mainstream through school shows, and I was able to positively impact an exclusion because of the engagement the student had in drama.

Yet the arts are being defunded all the time.

The charity is two-fold:

1. It advocates for the arts as a means of wellbeing - and we still do this through our charity singles and our burlesque and sexual wellness events;

2. We support others doing what we - as a family (and "family" extends to the many people who have been involved in our shows and projects since we started in 1993) - always have...providing the opportunity to thrive, through reminding you that everyone is worthy of a spotlight.
