Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue (BWCR) do amazing work and I’d like to raise money for them to help them do more.

I have been fostering cats for them for 10+ years and Tango came to me as a foster about 4 years ago. He had diabetes, FIV and FeLV and was weeks away from dying but through BWCR‘s commitment and the amazing vets at Fernlea he had 3 and a half really good years, before he sadly passed away from lymphoma a consequence of his FeLV, in January.

He was amazing, he was determined and brave and full of character and seemed to know me better than I know myself. He helped me through some difficult times and I do miss him.

So I thought it would be cool to get a tribute tattoo for him which will be on my knee where he used to sit. I’m all booked in for November with @sixhandstattoo and the artist is @calumtattoo. And then thought what a great way to raise money for BWCR.

Let’s help BWCR help more cats like Tango.

The thing is it’s not just about cats like Tango, they do a lot of work to foster and rehome cats too. Some cat’s are healthy, others need dentals, flea treatments, neutering and some just need a bit of TLC from their fosterers. They come in from all sorts of situations and many times it’s as much about helping people as the cats.
