Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and taking the time to support an important cause.
It's a privilege to be able to take on this challenge and while we are funding the challenge ourselves, we are also hoping to raise as much donations as possible for Teenage Cancer Trust.
On 13th Sept 2025, James and I are flying to Beijing where we will start our adventure, walking part of the Great Wall of China. We’re taking on this unforgettable challenge—trekking around 50 km over 5 days, hiking 5 to 7 hours each day. Together, we’ll climb thousands of stairs, face all kinds of weather—rain, wind, or blazing sun—and tackle remote, unrenovated sections of the Great Wall. Some stretches will push us out of our comfort zones, with steep drops on either side and tough terrain underfoot. Each night, we’ll rest in a basic lodge, ready for next day’s adventure.
Newsquest is proud to be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure that no young person faces cancer alone.
Newsquest has chosen Teenage Cancer Trust as their charity partner for 2025, to help young people get through cancer.
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words you have cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing the specialised nursing care and support they need to get through it.
Cancer doesn't just devastate a young persons health. It threatens to take away everything they care about their identity, their independence, and their dreams.
Teenage Cancer Trust fund specialist nurses, youth support teams and hospital units within the NHS to provide the very best care and support during treatment and beyond, making sure cancer doesn't stop young people living their lives.
Thank you for your support and for any donations you have made to help me reach our target.
