As part of my fundraising efforts, I am supporting Action Deafness, which does fantastic work within the D/deaf community. In my role as a Hub manager, I am able to observe the positive impact they make on the lives of D/deaf and hard of hearing individuals, and I hope to improve their quality of life through the money I raise.

In addition to providing support to those experiencing isolation and loneliness, Action Deafness works across the UK to help D/deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Their goal is to support and overcome any communication and access barriers that deaf and hard of hearing people encounter on a daily basis. They do this by providing a range of products and services, such as interpreting services, D/deaf awareness training, and community hubs. They also offer D/deaf and hard of hearing individuals the opportunity to connect with each other through online and in-person events.
