Story
For Zak Mitchell
Hi everyone, and thanks so much for visiting my page.
I’m taking on The Mane Challenge again - in memory of an incredibly brave little boy, Zak ❤️
Zak was just 7 years old when he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. During his treatment, Zak asked a question that stayed with me:
“Why don’t little boys get wigs too?”
That simple but powerful question inspired me to grow and donate my hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs to children and young people who lose their hair due to cancer treatment.
This challenge is deeply personal to me. Zak sadly lost his battle a few years ago, and I made a promise to honour his memory by doing something that could help other children like him.
For those of you that know me... "I'm all about the mane" and this time I'm aiming to donate 20 inches of hair, and all funds raised will go to Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that supports young people and their families during their cancer journey.
The date has been set! 📅
Friday 11th July at 5.45pm
Venue: Dominic Swift, Mawdesley, Lancashire
Your support—whether by donating, sharing, or simply reading Zak’s story—means more than words can say 🫶🏽
Love and Hugs

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
