CBRE Peak District Charity Walk for Alzheimer's, 10 May 2024
CBRE colleagues are fundraising for Alzheimer's Society to create a better future for families through inclusive dementia support.

Story

On the 10th May, I will be joining the team at CBRE to take part in a 26 mile walk of the Peak District to raise money for the Alzheimer's society.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Yet it isn’t the priority it should be. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and the only one to tackle all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with dementia today and in the future.

Working together in our charity partnership, CBRE and Alzheimer’s Society are helping to give more people facing dementia the tools they need today, to build a better future, free of financial hardship, loneliness, and stigma and inequality.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
