UPDATE:
THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our page earlier this year. We’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend where we learned even more about this condition — knowledge that helps us support our daughter every day and make life that little bit easier.
But the biggest gift from this weekend wasn’t just what we learned — it was watching our daughter spend three days with friends from across the UK (and even from another continent!) who face the same challenges she does every day. The love and support they share is truly incredible. Each year, their bond grows stronger and more meaningful, and we’re so grateful she has this support in her life.
Your donations helped make this happen, and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💚🧡

In 2022, during a routine doctor’s appointment, our world was turned upside down. Our beautiful daughter, just 5½ yrs old, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The shock was paralysing. We watched her—pale and thin—cartwheel around the ward, totally unaware of the danger she was in or what lay ahead.
The weeks that followed were a blur of fear and adjustment. Suddenly, life meant painful injections day and night, finger-prick blood tests that left her tiny fingers red and sore, and terrifying drops in blood sugar that left her disoriented and trembling.
Then, a few months later, something incredible happened…
We attended a family conference for children living with T1D. For the first time since her diagnosis, our daughter didn’t feel different. She laughed, made friends with other children living with T1D, and came alive in ways we hadn’t seen in months. Surrounded by children just like her, she felt free and part of something special.
But now, this incredible event is at risk—due to lost sponsorship and rising costs.
We’re asking for your help to keep this magical, empowering weekend alive—not just for our daughter, but for the many children and families across the country who rely on it. It reminds our daughter, and so many others, that they are not alone.
Every single donation makes a difference. Every penny helps give children like our daughter a weekend of belonging, friendship, freedom, hope, and inspiration to live positively with the relentless challenges of T1D.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Tanyia, Simon, & our incredibly brave girl 💚🧡x
