Tara's fundraiser for Saint Francis' Hospital, Katete, Zambia

As part of my final year of medical school myself and Chloe Fernie are going to Saint Francis' Hospital in Katete, Zambia for 10 weeks of clinical placement as part of a responsible elective. An elective is voluntary placement taken by medical students to experience healthcare systems in different countries.
As part of this elective we would like to raise money for Saint Francis' Hospital alongside the University of Dundee. In the past, the money raised has been put towards medical supplies, equipment, teaching rooms and facilities.
Saint Francis' Hospital serves a population of over 200,000 people with 350 beds divided into adult medical, paediatrics, maternity and surgical. It also sees around 255 patients a day in the outpatient department.
I would be extremely grateful if you could help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. However, I recognise the current financial and political climate may not allow for this so anything you can do to spread the word would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your generosity! All the money raised will be donated to Saint Francis' Hospital and I'll keep this post up to date as we head over to Zambia in January :)

A little bit more about the Responsible Electives Campaign:
Part of the ethos of Responsible Elective is that as well as working, I will donate money to the hospital to enable the provision of resources to people seeking medical attention. This means any money you donate will be going directly to the hospital, and I'll be funding my flights etc myself.
