Story
In a world where the cost of living keeps climbing, hunger is a mountain too steep for many to climb. The Sikh tradition of langar has always been about more than food — it’s about dignity, equality, and compassion. Whoever steps into a Gurudwara, no matter who they are, is welcomed with a hot meal and an open heart.
To honour this principle and help our local food bank, I’m setting out on a physical and spiritual challenge: trekking to Hemkund Sahib, 15,000 ft high in the majestic Himalayas. It’s a path of steep ascents, thin air, and unpredictable weather — but nothing compared to the daily struggle of putting food on the table for a hungry family.
I believe that just as one meal can change a day, one act of kindness can change a life.
You can be part of this journey.
Every pound, dollar, or rupee donated will go directly towards feeding those in need.
Together, we can climb this mountain — and bring the spirit of langar to every home.
