Tarporley Tennis Club fundraiser for The Joshua Tree

Benjamin Franks is raising money for The Joshua Tree
The Joshua Tree provides emotional, wellbeing, and practical support to families affected by childhood cancers. We help children, young people, and their families cope with the life-changing impact of cancer, empowering them to thrive during treatment and beyond. We are a non-profit charity

Story

Saturday 20th June 2026!

The members, families, friends and the wider community of Tarporley Tennis Club are proud to be supporting The Joshua Tree as the charity celebrates 20 years of helping families affected by childhood cancer. Our fantastic coaching partner All Court Tennis Academy (ACTA) will launch the effort with an extended program throughout the entire morning!

We’ll be keeping both courts busy from 8am–6pm, with supporters playing throughout the day to achieve a total of 20 court-hours of tennis linking to the 20 year milestone. Every donation will help support the incredible work of The Joshua Tree and the families they support.

£10 - Buys tea, coffee and cake for families visiting.

£25 - Funds a PT session for teenager affected by childhood cancer

£40 - Provides a therapeutic wellbeing session for a parent

£50 - Funds a counselling session

Whether you are able to give a little or a lot, your support will make a real difference to families facing some of life’s toughest challenges — thank you so much for your generosity.

The Joshua Tree is a Cheshire-based children’s cancer charity supporting families across the North West and North Wales. They work closely with families affected by childhood cancers, providing tailored emotional, practical and educational support during an incredibly difficult time. Their services include counselling, art and play therapy, health and wellbeing guidance, support within the home, and educational tutoring to help children and families maintain as much normality as possible throughout treatment and recovery.

Together, we hope to make our 20-hour challenge a celebration of community, resilience and support for an amazing cause.
