Tarryn's fundraiser for Campaign Against Antisemitism

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
On Sunday 21 April 2024, I will be taking on the 26.2-mile (42.5 km) London Marathon.
This year I will be raising money for two important charities, Campaign Against Antisemitism and Parkinson's UK.
I have always felt so immensely privileged to have gained British citizenship since moving from South Africa to the UK, and am proud of the diverse and multicultural society in which we live. Sadly – and particularly since October 7th – I have been extremely distressed by the amount – and growing levels – of open anti-Semitic hatred that I have seen, heard and encountered, and it has left me feeling unsafe, anxious, and vulnerable.
Anger caused by a conflict in another part of the world should not be taken out on Jewish (or any other) people in the UK or anywhere else. My goal is to run hatred off the streets of London and in my efforts I will be raising funds for Campaign Against Antisemitism.
If you share my vision of a tolerant and inclusive society, please consider making a donation.
If you're London-based or near I invite you to come and support all the runners on the day. It's such a fantastic day out with people of all ages, races and disabilities taking part from across the world.
The course runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace.
I hope to see you there!
