As a member of Werneth Concert Band (2nd Flute), I am taking part in our latest fundraising activity, Miles for Music & Maggie's.

Werneth Concert Band has Maggie's Oldham as our chosen charity for this year - it is close to the hearts of many in the band for the phenomenal work they do for those with cancer and the people around them.

The money raised by the walk will be shared between Maggie's and the band.

On 28th June, members of the band, along with their family and friends are walking from Maggie's in Oldham back to our band's home, the Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre, at Chadkirk Industrial Estate near Romiley, Stockport. This will cover a distance of approximately 13 miles. Some members are aiming for the full 13 miles, whereas others are joining along the route.

My goal is to do the full 13 miles. Any support that anyone can give would be much appreciated!
