With so many of my nearest and dearest having babies and getting married, it felt like the time was right for me to finally prove that I do have a life outside of work, and run a marathon.

I've always said I've never been bothered about doing one (sorry), but I'll happily make an exception for the London Marathon, which never fails to make me tear up in front of the telly from home every year.

Global's Make Some Noise are a fabulous charity (I'm not biased, of course) supporting so many other smaller charities around the UK that do incredible work, and don't get the sort of funding that other bigger ones get.

These charities often struggle for funding and recognition, yet they make a profound impact in our communities, and I'm sure that will get me through those final few miles.

Thank you to everyone for your support so far, and I can't wait to see you at the finish line as a blub my way over it...
