Story
Running has always been something I’ve enjoyed, but the Scottish 10K in August made me realise I wanted to see how far I could really push myself not just for fitness, but as a personal challenge and a way to give back. That’s why I’ve signed up for the Edinburgh Half Marathon in 2026. It’s the next step in my running journey and a challenge I’m excited to take on.
For my first half marathon I’ve chosen to run in support of Macmillan Cancer Research. Cancer has affected my family deeply, I’ve lost loved ones, and I’ve watched others face it with courage and strength. Running in their memory makes every step meaningful and supporting Macmillan is a way to help people and families who are going through what we’ve experienced.
Every 21.1 kilometers through the streets of Edinburgh will be ran with them in mind. Your donations big or small will go directly to Macmillan to provide care, support, and hope for people living with cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting this cause, it truly means a lot.
