Story
I'm taking on the Peak District Ultra Challenge 2027 on 3 July 2027 because I know what it means to go without.
I grew up in poverty, and I know how it feels to worry about keeping the lights on, or whether there will be enough food in the cupboard. I know how hard it can be to keep going when life feels uncertain, and how powerful it is when someone offers support at exactly the right moment.
That's why I'm fundraising for Utilita Giving. Their work supports people facing fuel and food poverty across England, Scotland and Wales, helping to keep homes warm, families fed, and people from feeling forgotten. Through partnerships with foodbank charities and organisations such as National Energy Action and Energy Action Scotland, Utilita Giving provides help that is practical, compassionate, and urgently needed.
My target is £300, and every donation will help make a real difference. By supporting this challenge, you're not just giving money - you're standing with people who need to know there is hope, help, and a way forward.
Please donate if you can, share my page, and help me turn this challenge into support for people who need it most. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
