The Solicitors' Charity has been a beacon of hope for solicitors facing challenging times since 1858. Providing financial, emotional, and practical support, they've made it their mission to help individuals regain control and make positive, lasting improvements to their lives. While financial assistance may be their most recognized offering, the Solicitors' Charity goes above and beyond. They deliver practical and emotional support, fund partners to provide vital services and offer career guidance and professional development resources to empower people to surmount life's obstacles.

My legal journey has been anything but conventional, filled with its fair share of challenges. But when adversity struck, I learned to pause, reflect, and carry on – never to quit! The last few years have been especially trying, but the Solicitors' Charity was there to back me up. They supported my mental health, provided specialist work assistance, and ensured my family had a safe place to call home. The dedicated, fast-growing team at the Solicitors' Charity has given me more support in the past year than many people have throughout my entire life. Now, it's my turn to give back to them!

On the 20th of August 2023, I will be participating in a Fundraising Boxing Event at The Tolworth Recreation Centre, fundraising for Cancer UK and the Solicitors' Charity. As a lover, not a fighter, I never imagined I'd step into the ring. It's kind of like the time I signed up for ballroom dancing classes on a whim, only to find out I had two left feet and an uncanny ability to trip over thin air! But just as I found joy in dancing then, I'm eager to lace up my gloves and make an exception for these two fantastic charities.

I kindly ask all of you to donate generously to both charities. While Cancer UK is a prominent organization, the Solicitors' Charity is lesser-known but equally deserving of your support. Let's come together to make this event a smashing success for these two incredible organizations. I urge you to dig deep and give generously, helping to champion this knockout event for two truly fantastic charities. Together, we can make a lasting, positive impact that will have us gliding with grace and enthusiasm—no ballroom skills required!
