Each year, The Blair Partnership choose a charity to fundraise and promote. Our chosen charity in 2024 is Unique: https://rarechromo.org/

Unique's mission is to inform, support and alleviate the isolation of anyone affected by a rare chromosome disorder, copy number variant or single gene disorder associated with learning disability/developmental delay and to raise public awareness.

This charity is close to the heart of TBP; below are a few words from Catriona, our wonderful Legal Director, on why this charity is so important to us:

"My son, Joshua, has a very rare chromosome disorder and Unique were the only source of information about his condition. In the first few months of his life, his doctors relied on the information from Unique to test for and diagnose his multiple medical issues. In the years that followed I have met many other people affected by rare chromosome disorders through the charity. They are a very small UK charity - only 8 staff members - and yet they have a huge impact and support around 28,000 families worldwide."

On 18th October, the Brand & Franchise Team will be taking on the 16 Bridges of London - a 15.5 mile walk from Putney Bridge to Tower Bridge - in support of Unique (of course, we will be donning the appropriate Harry Potter clothing!) Rest assured, the whole team will be taking part - Ross and Luke included!
