As-salamu alaykum,

Words will never be enough to describe the feelings before, during and after our first deployment. We went to change the lives of our brothers and sisters in Lebanon, but our brothers and sisters changed our lives instead.

We provided food to fill their stomachs and yet they filled our hearts with a new kind of love which can never be replaced. We prepared meals for them and yet they prepared us with a newer mindset which will better us for our hereafter. We provided hygiene kits so they can cleanse themselves yet they cleansed us spiritually and showered us with their love and duas. We gifted them to see them happy and they gifted us with the duas and smiles for Allah to be happy with us.

Our Palestinian and Syrian brothers and sisters in Lebanon have took their places in our hearts, which is why we have collectively chosen to fundraise for this project once again. When you change the way you see the world, the world you see changes and so this is the change we want to make and see year after year after year. We pray we are blessed with this opportunity time and time again to consistently remind us what life is truly about.
