Homelessness is a pervasive issue that can affect anyone at any time, with deep and lasting effects on both the individual and society as a whole. As someone who has been an advocate for the homeless for over ten years, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of organizations like The Bus Shelter MK. Their services provide not just a safe place to sleep, but also critical support and needs assessments that help individuals recover from the trauma of street life and build independent, dignified lives.

Unfortunately, the government and private sector have failed to address this issue effectively, leaving it up to public sector organizations like The Bus Shelter MK to pick up the slack. That's why I'm participating in CEO Sleepout 2023 - an event where participants sleep outside for one night to raise awareness and funds for this vital cause.
